Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of its Hub home VoIP and messaging system. We went to New York to get some hands-on time with the hub and have produced a video of the Hub in action

Rumored Motorola Inferno renamed to Torch, headed to Verizon

The Motorola Inferno is rumored to be a touchscreen cell phone that is supposedly heading towards Verizon Wireless later this year. Word has it that this unannounced handset has also been renamed to the Torch.

Possible reference to new iPhone found in latest firmware

A few industrious folks have dug around in the new iPhone firmware that was released yesterday and found a reference to what could be the next iPhone model. A reference to iPhone2,1 was found, while the current iPhone 3G is referred to as iPhone1,2.

Acer seemingly launching a smartphone at Mobile World Congress

Acer, a company known for its computers, has all but confirmed that it will be launching a smartphone at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The company sent out press invites with ’smartphones launch’ printed as the title of the event
